Hello! Welcome to my website. Thanks for stopping by. Take a look around. Don’t judge. Actually, you know what? Feel free to judge. No one is watching.

Now, before you get too comfortable -- I’d like to announce that I’m going to be a published author. Yep, that’s right, after four years of scraping together time to write on weekends and in the early mornings (when I really should have been spending time with my family) I have finished my debut novel, THE MAD WIDOWS. And, in a surprise plot twist, Simon & Schuster wants to publish it!  (I keep waiting to hear there's been a mistake.)

The novel hits the shelves on March 9, 2027. I know that seems like a long ways away, but look at it this way. If you pre-order the book now, when March rolls around you will have totally forgotten about it and then the book will show up like a random present. Fun! <<dc>>

THE MAD WIDOWS

Kate Copeland, widow, mother of two, is barely keeping it together—

coffee-stained sweatpants, Goldfish crackers for dinner, and a check engine

light she's been ignoring for six months. The one bright spot in her life is

a tight-knit group of widows who regularly get together to share camaraderie,

shoulders to cry on, and plenty of coffee and white wine.

Things are going fine—well, as fine as things can go for people with

a gaping hole in their lives—until one of the widows begins to suspect

her husband isn’t actually dead. The women suddenly find themselves

thrust into a "reverse murder mystery." Is he alive or not?!

While finishing a novel is very exciting for me, I'm not exactly new to writing.

For the past 25 years I've been making movies with my writing partner, Jon Lucas.

We love writing comedies — The Hangover, Bad Moms, Spa Weekend — stories about people making questionable decisions and somehow surviving them in an

entertaining (at least we find it entertaining) way.

Bringing stories to the screen has been a dream come true for me

and I look forward to telling more stories in print.

Anyway. Welcome to my site. Look around. Don't judge—too much.
